Lynn Dawber has been a member with Ladybird Fitness from the very beginning; she joined back in October 2006 before the gym opened on 30th November 2006. As you can tell, from the very start she was determined to make changes.
What first drew Lynn to the club was the fact that even from the outside it looked like a friendly gym and the biggest fact of all 'NO MEN, NO MIRRORS'! Lynn describes the club as being very friendly and non intimidating, she says there is always a smiling face there to help you in anyway, if it's a new personal programme, diet tips or just someone to talk to.
Lynn attends a wide variety of classes throughout the week ranging from Step, Legs, Tums and Bums to group cycling but she says her favourite has got to be 'Boxercise' She describes the classes as easy to follow and very motivational where she can have fun and make new friends.
Since starting Lynn has lost a whopping 2.5 stone and around 3.5 inche's from her waist, her body fat has also dropped down by 3%. Lynn comes to the gym about 2 - 3 times a week and workouts for about 30 - 45 minutes each time, which is what Ladybird Fitness recommends.
Lynn also attends the weekly weigh-in every Wednesday; she says this helps her stay on track with her weight and because there is an incentive each month to win a prize it motivates her even more. Lynn also describes her energy doubling since losing the weight which gives her more time to spend with her family and friends and taking her dog for walks.
